The Highland Home Flying Squadron hosted the Reeltown Rebels last Friday night at Clay Jordan Stadium.

The captains for the Flyboys were sophomore Dustin Noland and junior Caleb Parsons. The Squadron lost to the Rebels 46-15. The Flyboys gave up the most points they have all season in a hard fought game.

The Rebels led 20-0 going into half time. The Highland Home defense held the Rebels’ offense in the 4th quarter to only 1 touchdown while scoring their only 2 touchdowns of the game.

The Flying Squadron lost starting sophomore quarterback Kase Kelley to a season-ending injury. Freshman quarterback John Dunn stepped up and was 2 for 5 with 73 yards passing, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Junior running back Chris McGhee ran for a Squadron season high of 89 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Antawine Harris also scored a TD and added a 2 point conversion.

Senior Deandre Cole and sophomore Dustin Nolan also put up good rushing numbers as well.

The defense was led by senior Drew Rogers and junior Caleb Parsons.

The Reeltown Rebels were picked to win the region for a good reason. They were a very big and fast, hardnosed football team against a fast but young Squadron team.

The Squadron will be on the road Friday night traveling to region foe R.C. Hatch. Game time is 7 p.m.
