A U.S. Representative with his eyes on the prize of the Alabama governor’s office will be in the Camellia City on Wednesday, August 26.

Representative Artur Davis, who represents Alabama’s Seventh Congressional District, is speaking at The Chef’s Table in downtown Greenville. The breakfast event, slated from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., is sponsored by the Butler County Democratic Club. Davis announced his candidacy for the 2010 governor’s race earlier this year.

“Representative Davis will be speaking out on important issues, taking questions and learning what matters most to local citizens,” said spokesperson Anna Ruth Wilson.
