Nancy Defee Wright

WRIGHT, Mrs. Nancy Defee, 78, a resident of Luverne died Sunday, August 9, 2009. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Interment followed in Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Wright and her parents, Howell and Thenie Defee. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Alanda King Wright; two grandchildren, Taylor Wright and Jamilyn Wright; and two sisters, Georgia Bolling and Geraldine (Bill) Knight. Active pallbearers were Lee Simmons, Denny Williams, Marvin Bolling, Darren Bolling, Lamar Bolling and Horace Knight.

Shon D. Harris

HARRIS, Mr. Shon D., a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on August 6, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with the Rev. Darryl Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, Alabama, officiating.

Mr. Harris was born on April 21, 1977, to the late Mr. Frank Harris and Mrs. Voncile Bozeman-Harris. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Voncile Harris, four brothers, Frankie L., Samuel B., and Tracy S., all of Highland Home, AL, Collie L., GA; sister, Mildred Searight, Ft. Deposit, AL; grandmother, Inie Mae Bozeman, Honoraville, AL; sister-in-law, Sandra Harris, Greenville, AL; adopted brother, Willie Shephard, Highland Home, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
