“We do precision cutting, custom color, perms, highlighting, formal styling and weddings, special occasion make-up, and full-body waxing,” Bond said.

Bond, a Luverne native, graduated from cosmetology school in San Diego, Cal.; she is married to Dennis Molizone, and they have two children, Canada and Sophia. She has been a licensed stylist for five years.

Co-owner Steve Penny lives with his wife, Cheryll, in Glenwood.

Pretenses is open Monday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments can be made and walk-ins are welcome, Bond said.

“It’s wonderful to be back,” Bond, who returned to Luverne in May, said. “I missed my home—my family is here, so it’s good to be home.”
