Edward Moorer, a resident of Furman, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from First Baptist Church of Farmersville. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing. He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Kelvin Johnson of Montgomery; sisters, Eula (Lee) Thicklin, Ora Moorer, Lowanda Moorer, all of Pine Apple, Cora Gordon, Jamaica, N.Y., Clementine Moorer of Huntsville and Johnnie B. Smoot of Birmingham; brothers, Willie Ester (Barbara) Moorer, Farmersville, Calvin Ingram, Selma, and Tommie Moorer, Chattanooga; aunts, Suzie Carter, Pine Apple, and Luella Debose, Pensacola, uncles, David Lewis Hall of Furman and James Hall, Selma, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
