Recent Fort Dale graduate Kendall Gibson spoke to the Greenville Kiwanis Club on Tuesday.

Gibson told the club about his trip to Japan to compete for team Stars and Stripes in the 2009 Global Challenge Bowl.

Gibson is also moving on to play football at Troy University.

“I’ve got a spot on the roster, and they told me that I’m going to be redshirted next year,” he said.

His spot on the team will be as a long-snapper and center.

So far, Gibson said the coaching staff has appreciated his work ethic.
