Basil W. Duke Jr., known to all as “Bird”, age 58, of Greenville, Alabama, an avid hunter, fisherman, and jokester, expired peacefully Saturday, May 23, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Gaston officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. The family received friends on Monday, May 25th, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. He is survived by his son, Rusty Duke and daughter, Kristy Sexton (Ruell) of Greenville, his sister, Sadie Duke Sky (Richard) of Montgomery, and one grandchild Anna Claire.
