Funeral services for the late Claudia Mae Herbert Abrams was held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2 p.m. from First Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. R.F. McCreary, officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing. She leaves to cherish her memories, four children, Terence L. Abrams of Oakland, Calif., Theresa A. McKenzie, Connie J. Abrams, both of Greenville, Christopher L. (Fredena) Abrams of Montgomery; two brothers, James L. (Loretta) Herbert, Fort Deposit, Edward (Lucille) Herbert of Monticello, N.Y.; three sisters, Lena (Clarence) Hagan of San Diego, Calif., Lucy (Arthur) Ward of NIagra Falls, N.Y., Alice (Joseph) Patton of Monticello, N.Y.; four sisters-in-law, Georgiana Herbert of Columbus, Gertrude Herbert of Pensacola, Mary Fountain of Brooklyn, N.Y., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
