Alma Bodiford planted one of her now-famous “Alma’s Star” Confederate roses on the front corner of the Crenshaw County courthouse last Friday morning.
This rose is the only one that has been patented in Crenshaw County. Probate Judge Jim Perdue also declared the week of June 7-13 as National Garden Week in Crenshaw County.
