Laine Jones, 78, a resident of Greenville, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 in a Greenville hospital. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 from the Friendship Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Smith and William Till officiating. Burial in church cemetery followed with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pauline Gandy, wife, Gertrude Till Jones and daughter, Peggy Jones. Survivors include: four sons and daughter-in-law, Billy (Debbie) Jones, McKenzie, David (Rena) Jones, Greenville, Henry (Anita) Jones of Montgomery and Steven (Amanda) Jones of Verbena; ten grandchildren, Brian Jones, Georgiana, Leslie Fuller, Heath Jones, and Colton Jones, all of Montgomery, Lionel Jones and Loren Jones, both of Auburn, Jennifer Jones, Samantha Jones and Anna Jones, all of Greenville and Ethan Jones, of Verbena.
