Ottrie Black Morris, age 96, a native of Georgiana, and longtime resident of Mobile, died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at a local healthcare facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Morris; son, Bobby Ray Morris; son-in-law, Richard Sumner, Jr.; and grandson, Jeff Morris. Mrs. Morris is survived by seven children: Randy Morris (Sandy), Mike Morris (Betty Sue), Brenda Pigg, Paulette Harris (Frank), JoAnn Murray (Richard), Cheryll Sumner, and Larry Morris (Elaine); brother, Herston Black; eleven grandchildren: Leigh Reynolds (Allan), Paige Timms (Joe), Mike Morris (Lisa), Vickie Morris, Dalton Pigg (Cindy), Dena Pigg, Donna Pigg, Rebecca Kickliter (Orren), Heather Harris, Christy Morris and Ashley Morris; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Pine Crest Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 27 in Morrow Cemetery, Georgiana, AL with Rev. Larry Smith officiating.
