Butler County residents will again have their night in the spotlight at Troy University this weekend.

The double-header basketball game against the University of Denver on Jan. 31 has been named “Butler County Night” and is sponsored by the Butler County Troy University Alumni Association.

Jimmy Gardner, who helped organize the event, said last year’s event was successful and they are looking forward to doing it again.

Invitations have been extended to all the county’s basketball teams, and there are special deals for Butler County residents.

The event is sponsored by Jimmy Gardner State Farm, Greenville Motor Company, Greenville Cash and Carry, Norman Blackmon Motors and Terrell Enterprises.

The women’s game is set to begin at 5:15 p.m., with the men starting at 7:15.
