Mary Elizabeth Roddy, age 79, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Saturday, January 17, 2009. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. W.O. Sanders and Rev. Bruce McCormick officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Burial followed at Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville, AL. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19th, at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roddy was preceded in death by her parents, James Ira and Mary Herring, husband, Larry Wayne Roddy, sister, Maybelle Harrison, brothers, Felix Herring, Earl Herring, James Herring, and an infant sister. She is survived by her son, Rick (Shirley) Little of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Ann (Bill) Sanders of Goshen, AL, grandchildren, Toni (Jimmy) Williams of Boaz, AL, Valerie (Jay) Kyzar of Goshen, AL, Jay (Ashley) Hughes of Montgomery, AL, William Sanders of Goshen, AL, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Walt Williams, Jackson and Olivia Kyzar, Erin Hughes, sisters, Laura Oswald of Greenville, AL, Merle DeGroff of Millbrook, AL, Grace (Hayward) Bradley of Greenville, AL, brother, Phillip (Barbara) Herring of Greenville, AL, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jay Hughes, William Sanders, Jay Kyzar, Jimmy Williams, Charles Oswald, and Steve Bradley.
