John Morris Rigsby, 78, a resident of Montclaire Dr., Montgomery, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 after an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Cates officiating.
Burial followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Mr. Rigsby was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Sue Cook Rigsby, father, Barney Rigsby, mother Clara Joyner Rigsby and brother, Horace Rigsby. He is survived by wife, Peggy Rigsby, Montgomery; sons, Larry Rigsby of Niceville, Fla., Bruce Rigsby and Martin Rigsby, both of Eclectic; daughters, Rhonda Thomas and Sandra Duck, both of Eclectic; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
