HAROLD E. MOORE

MOORE, Mr. Harold E., 76, a resident of Lapine, Ala., died Friday, December 26, 2008. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Burns and Rev. Sandy Smith officiating.

Interment followed in the New Ebenezer Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hilda Windler Moore; a sister, Helen Weller; and two brothers, Don Moore and Jim Moore. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Agnes Carolyn Defee Moore; eight children, Robert Moore, Raymond (Sandra) Moore, Deborah (Richard) Henderson, Cindy (James) Acton, Melissa Giddens, Melynda Rayburn, Michael (Beth) Blackburn and Joy (Jon) Moore; twenty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Richard (Joyce) Moore, William (Donita) Moore, Wilbur (Nancy) Moore and Howard (Sharon) Moore.

Active pallbearers were grandsons, Steve Grimes, Dale Grimes, Robby Garner, Joshua Garner, Kevin Garner and Jeremy Moore.

EVIE JOHNSON WILLIAMSON

WILLIAMSON, Mrs. Evie Johnson, 91, a resident of Glenwood, Ala., died Saturday, December 27, 2008. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Fleetwood Baptist Church with Rev. W.O. Sanders and Rev. David Richburg officiating. Interment followed in the Spears Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Williamson; her parents, Lee and Maude Hancock Johnson; two sisters, Estelle Scarbrough and Verbie Johnson; and a brother, Wilson Johnson.

Survivors include three children, Dexter Williamson, Barbara Williamson and Delmar Williamson.
