Senior Stephen Walker was voted Army Iron Man of the year in Alabama. This was Alabama’s inaugural season and Walker was selected as the state’s best two-way high school player.

Walker first earned the week ten Army Iron Man honor after rushing for 101 yards, scoring touchdowns, recording ten tackles, and blocking a 37-yard field goal attempt with 7.8 seconds remaining in Brantley’s 26-24 win over Daleville. During the statewide campaign, more than 28,000 votes were counted. Walker recorded 9,470 votes for the Army Iron Man of the Year and will receive a customized, championship-quality ring from presenting sponsor Jostens. Walker edged Houston Academy’s Seth McGowan. Playing and excelling on both offense and defense, the Army Iron Man must demonstrate physical and emotional strength, as well as strength of character. Stephen is the son of Steve and Jama Walker. Congratulations, Stephen!
