CHRIS ANTHONY COSBY

COSBY, Mr. Chris Anthony, 39, a resident of Prattville and formerly of Rutledge, died Saturday, November 29, 2008. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Hall officiating. Interment followed in Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Survivors include his wife, Krystal S. Cosby; one son, Christopher Gage Cosby; parents, Earl and Judith Cosby; and a brother, Brent (Emma) Cosby. Active pallbearers were Christopher Cosby, Keith Stephens, Terry Stephens, Scott Edwards, Kenneth Faircloth, George Bryan and Scott Sipper.

LORENZO GODWIN

GODWIN, Mr. Lorenzo, 81, a lifelong resident of Brantley, Ala., died Thursday, November 6, 2008. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008, from Brantley Baptist Church with Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Travis Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Brantley Cemetery with Tuner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his wife, Helen McLeod Godwin and his sister, Louise Tompkins.

He is survived by two sons, John (Pam) Godwin of Dothan and Jerry (Ann) Godwin of Brantley; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dean) Kogelschatz, Michael (Heather) Godwin, Sarah Godwin, Rachel (Tatsuki) Kurihara, Judson Godwin and Garrett Godwin; four great-grandchildren, Steven and Matthew Kogelschatz, Lydia Helen Godwin and Andrew Michael Godwin; and sister-in-law, Mildred Bozeman.

THOMPSON

THOMPSON, Infant Brooklyn Emma, was born November 21, 2008, and passed away at Baptist East in Montgomery, Ala., on November 21, 2008. Graveside services were held November 23, at Peaceful Acres Cemetery with Wyatt Funeral Home, Opp, Ala., directing.

Brooklyn was preceded in death by her brother, Scotty Thompson.

She is survived by her parents, Earl and Audrea (Dickey) Thompson of Glenwood; sister, Baily Elyse Thompson; brother, Bradley Earl Thompson; grandparents Tim and Becky Dickey of Glenwood, Bobbye Register of Highland Home, Sonny and Donna Thompson of Opp, and Alan and Linda Peavey of Kinston.

JUDY LYNNE REGISTER

REGISTER, Ms. Judy Lynne, 49, a resident of Montgomery and formerly of Highland Home, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette and Alan Ammons officiating. Interment will follow in the Sweetwater Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Ms. Register was preceded in death by her father, Euel E. Register. Survivors include her mother, Caudie Beasley Register; sister, Sheila Register; brother, Bobby (Jeanette) Register and a nephew, Austin Register. Active pallbearers are Jimmy Henderson, Eddie Henderson, David Register, Brad Welch, Odis James and Edwin Johnson.
