Vida D. McNaughton, age 93, a resident of Greenville, died on November 30, 2008. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Burkhalter and Rev. Gayle Woodard officiating. Burial followed in Shackleville Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 1, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. McNaughton was preceded in death by her husband, Seabon H. McNaughton and son, Donald H. McNaughton. She is survived by daughters, Faye (Aubrey) Gibson of Honoraville, Linda (Craig) Burkhalter of Auburn; son, Daward (Jean) McNaughton of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Myra Jean McNaughton of Greenville; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Arkie (Hermon) Black of Georgiana, AL, Velma (Comer) Blackmon of Greenville Pauline (Hubert) Alexander of Greenville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
