SANSOM

SANSOM, Ruby T. Thompson, age 88, a resident of Honoraville, Ala., died Monday, November 24, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Leverette officiating. Interment followed in Cool Spring Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

A visitation was held Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include: nephews and nieces, Joe Thompson, Grady, Ala., Arden (Ruthie) Sexton, Montgomery, Ala., Margaret (Cecil) Humphrey, Homoraville, Ala., Susie Turner, Honoraville, Ala., Henry Guy Turner, Fla.; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Sansom was preceeded in death by her husband Reed Sansom and her parents Gailous Turner and Ruth McCullough Turner.

WALTER A.C. PARKS

PARKS, Mr. Walter A.C. , 78, a resident of Glenwood, died Thursday, November 20, 2008. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008, at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. James Adcock officiating. Interment followed in the Weed Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Parks was preceded in death by a son, Rayford Parks.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jean Money Parks; two children, Sharon (DeWayne) Pugh and Kenneth Earl (Brenda Jean) Moore; two grandchildren, Sharon Lynn (Gary) Berry and PJ (Doug) Medley; eight great-grandchildren, Briana and Allen Raupach, Steven and Zachary Medley, Dylan and Dixie Dennis, Emma and Kimberly Berry; and a number of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Doug Medley, Gary Berry, James Parks, Wayne Parks, John Parks and Ronald Parks.

SHELBY JEAN KIRK

KIRK , Shelby Jean , age 66, a resident of Honoraville, Ala., died November 2, 2008, at her residence.

A visitation was held Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.

Survivors include: husband, L.D. Kirk, Honoraville, Ala., several nieces and nephews, and a special family friend, Tim Mosley, Honoraville, Ala.

MILDRED MILLS WILSON

WILSON, Mrs. Mildred Mills, age 84, of Luverne, Ala., died Monday, November 24, 2008, at Luverne Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wes Hatcher, Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Frank Lowery officiating. Interment followed in Joquin Baptist Church Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, John Marion Wilson.

Survivors include seven children, Vera (Jimmy) Clemmons of Alabaster, Ala., Mary John (Charles) Walker of Elba, Ala., Donald (Sharon) Wilson of Troy, Ala., Emily (Jackie) Parmer of Louisville, Ala., Marie (Bob) Vidich of Opp, Ala., Kay Wilson of Elba, Ala. and Cynthia (Wesley) Hatcher of Luverne; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Frank) Lowery and Lena Pearl (Sammy) Carr, both of Luverne; and one brother, Billy (Jo Ann) Mills of Level Plains, Ala.

Grandsons of Mrs. Wilson served as pallbearers.
