County’s Holiday Festival a big success

The Crenshaw County 2008 Holiday Festival was attended by over 50 people. The festival was held November 18th at the Tom Harbin Agricultural Center. Bridgette Griffin, REA (Regional Extension Agent), Food Safety, Preservation and Preparation, presented her program on Holiday Food Preparation. Other programs that were presented at the festival were: Lisa’s Boutique Fashion Show by Lisa Rolling, owner of Lisa’s Jewelry & Boutique; Holiday Eating Tips by Perico Osby, REA Nutrition, Diet & Health; Caring for Holiday Plants by Rachel Dykes, REA Home Grounds, Gardens and Pests; Holiday Decorating by Edward Byrd, owner of Edward Byrd Interiors in New Brockton.

Exhibits set up at the festival were provided by South Luverne Baptist Church, Crenshaw County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association, Southern Living, Windmill Gardens and Annie’s Relay For Life.

Door prizes were provided by Lisa’s Boutique, Flowers by Michelle, Relay for Life, Angela’s Flowers and Windmill Gardens.
