MATTIE RICHBURG BERRY

Mattie Richburg Berry, age 92 of Glenwood, died Thursday, November 6, 2008 at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Glenwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Weeks and Rev. Bill Rhoads officiating. Burial followed in the Carter Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation was held Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Boyd and Sandra Berry of Glenwood, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Steve Brown of Troy, 2 grandchildren, Charles (Angela) Berry of Crestview, Perry Brown of Troy, 2 great- grandchildren, Alexandra and Bryant Berry of Crestview, sisters, Monette Richburg of Henderson, Sibyl McPhail of Florala, brother, Bernard (Carolyn) Richburg of Henderson, 2 sisters-in-law, Frances Berry of Troy, Hilma Baggett of Troy, special caregiver, Debbie Ballard. Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by husband C.L. Berry, brother, Rex Richburg, parents, Perry and Ruth Richburg.

Serving as pallbearers were Walter Sanders, Fox Hughes, Michael Hughes, Wayne Gibson, Bill Knight, Dexter Williamson.

Honorary Pallbearers were Byrl Tate, W.L. Stallings, Charles McLeod, Buddy Henagan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glenwood United Methodist Church.

WALLACE

WALLACE, Mr. Charles Wesley, 88, a resident of Brantley, died Thursday November 6, 2008. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2008 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen DuBose and Rev. Shirley Hatcher officiating. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ina Ruth Carnes Wallace; foster child, Nancy Dailey; and a sister, Lucile Campbell. Active pallbearers were Matthew Morgan, Hayward DuBose, Jerrold Hatcher, Buddy DuBose, Mickey Kilcrease and Donnie Chandler.

LOUIS FRANCIS COLLINS

COLLINS, Mr. Louis Francis, 71, a resident of Highland Home, died Saturday, November l, 2008 after an extended illness. Survivors include five children, Louis F. Collins, Jr., Troy Collins, Scotty Collins, Heidi Hickey and Kelle C. Choates; and his special friends and caregiver, Elaine Lake.

Sarah Belle Walker, age 93, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 in Elba. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Fleetwood Baptist Church with Rev. David Richburg and Rev. Joe Waldorf officiating. Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation was held Tuesday, November 11, from 1-2 p.m. at Fleetwood Baptist Church. Survivors include: 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Joel Moore of Opp, Martha and Fox Hughes of Glenwood, grandchildren, Paula and Waylon Dunn, Tammy and Kevin Killingsworth, Michael and Amanda Hughes, great-grandchildren, Sarah, Addie and Emma Killingsworth, Bryan Dunn, Gus and Jake Hughes, Sidney and Sawyer Hughes. Serving as Pallbearers were Michael Hughes, Waylon Dunn, Kevin Killingsworth, Brent Walker, Bobby Walker, and Morris Tate.

Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Walker, Benton Walker, Titus Walters, Billy Walters, Oren Oglesby, and Boyd Berry.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Fleetwood Baptist Church.
