The Greenville Tigers will wrap up the regular season with a home game against the Hillcrest-Evergreen Jaguars.

“They really like to bring pressure on defense,” said head coach Ben Blackmon. “They like to blitz and then play man coverage, so we’ve got to protect the quarterback.”

Blackmon also said that the Hillcrest offense is a spread offense and they like to throw the ball around.

The Jaguars come in with a 3-6 record, but Blackmon said that’s not a good indicator of how good they are.

“They are a very athletic team,” he said.

Next week, the Tigers will travel to face Briarwood in the playoffs, but Blackmon said they can’t think about that.

“We’ve got to take this one game at a time,” he said. “We can’t look ahead to the playoffs. If we do, we’ll get beat.”
