The 2008-2009 edition of Greenville Magazine is hot off the press.

A joint effort of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce and The Greenville Advocate, this annual publication highlights the many attractions and resources that make our community special.

Inside its pages you will find pertinent information about our schools. A number of institutions contribute to the education of Butler County’s youth, from the seven schools falling under the umbrella of the Butler County School System to private schools such as Fort Dale Academy and Camellia City Christian. Young and old alike are served by Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and the Butler County Education and Community Learning Center.

Health care in Butler County is marked by the services of two community hospitals, L.V. Stabler Memorial and Georgiana Hospital. Various health care services are also provided by Stabler Clinic and a number of other providers.

This year’s publication also highlights the rich offerings available in recreation, arts and entertainment. From the golf paradise of Cambrian Ridge and outdoor action at Sherling Lake, to the professional productions of the Greenville Arts Council and the hidden gem that is the Ritz Theatre, the Greenville area is full of attractions.

Pieces on the county’s many civic organizations and an illustrated calendar of events round out the features in Greenville Magazine, but the publication has much more to offer.

Detailed community profiles provide valuable service information for newcomers while demographic information and key statistics are available for prospective businesses and those interested in future development.

Complete directories are provided of both area churches and chamber members.

Most importantly, Greenville Magazine is a reflection of the hard work and efforts of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce, its executive committee and Director Francine Wasden.

The chamber has recently made great strides promoting our community. And with the support and leadership of Wasden and others, it appears it’s just getting started.

Greenville Magazine, distributed by the chamber of commerce, can be found at the chamber office and on tabletops around the Greenville area.
