Harvey Burgans, 75, a resident of Luverne, died Wednesday, May 26, 2008 at his residence.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 from Dozier Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Steve Dubose and the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating.

Burial in Pleasant Home Cemetery followed with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.

Mr. Burgans was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Burgans

and a daughter, Debbie Ann Burgans. Survivors include: four daughters, Patricia Lanham and Shirley Pate, both of Luverne, and Cathy Smith and Sherry Olive, both of Georgiana; four sons, Willie Burgans of Goshen, Rickey Burgans of Elba, Lamar Burgans and Lester Burgans, both of Henderson; sister, Doris Reeves of Troy; brother, Horace Burgans of Highland Home, 14 grandchildren and great-granchildren.
