Margaret Pugh Ryals

Margaret Pugh Ryals, age 84, a resident of Fort Deposit (the Logan Community), went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2008.

She was born May 8, 1923, in Buena Vista, Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Mr. S.E. Ryals and a daughter, Kay Lynn Ryals; also her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Together she and her husband ran several local businesses, including The Red and White Grocery Store in Fort Deposit and the Travel Mart Shell.

Survivors include: a son, Donnie Lee (Shirley) Ryals and daughter, Alesa Ryals (Steve) Hill, all of Fort Deposit, and daughter Dawn Ryals (Mike) Eckhoff of Moody; four grandchildren, Aaron and Sam Ryals, Virginia Nickelson and Lauren Grunda; four great-grandchildren, Hallie, Clara, and Jana Ryals and Alvin Nickelson.

Graveside services were held Monday, March 3, 2008 in The Myrtlewood Cemetery of Fort Deposit at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Eric Jackson officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Julia Claire Selden White

Julia Claire Selden White, age 61, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Sunday, March 2, 2008.

Graveside services were held on Monday, March 3, 2008, at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Fred Lindstrom officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Ms. White is survived by her sister, Mary Brown of Greenville, brother, Joseph L. Selden of Australia, and sons, Hubert J. and Christopher White.

Perry Harrison Fuller

Perry Harrison Fuller, 72, a former resident of Greenville, passed away March 1, 2008 in Prattville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2

p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Newton officiating.

Mr. Fuller will lie in repose from 1 p.m.. until service time.

Burial will follow in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by a son and daughter; Perry Harrison Fuller, Jr. and Tammy Fuller.

Survivors include: wife, Sarah Wood Fuller of Prattville; two daughters, Kate Morton (Dana) of Prattville and Sandra DuBose (Wayne) of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Josh, Michelle and Jonathan Dubose, and one great-grandson, Cole DuBose; sister, Kate McClain.

Mattie Lou Odum

Mattie Lou Odum, 89, a resident of Brantley, died Thursday Feb. 28, 2008.

Funeral services were held Monday March 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Mills

Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Ray Skipper and the Rev. Walter Brewer officiating.

Interment will follow in Mills Chapel Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home of Greenville directing.

Survivors include her son, Jim (Jo) Odom, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Linda (Dale) Harrison, Greenville; one brother, Horace (Linda)

Grayson, Glenwood; 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Odom was preceeded in death by her husband Oliver Odom, sons, Ollie Ray Odom, Lee Wayne Odom and Johnny Don Odom.

Tommy Nelson Berdeaux

Tommy Nelson Berdeaux, 62, a resident of High land Home, died Friday, February 29, 2008.

Funeral services were held on Mon day, March 3, 2008 at 2

p.m. from Siloam Baptist Church in Crenshaw County, with the

Rev. Mickey Castleberry and the Rev. Gene

Turman officiating.

Interment followed in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery with Ellison Funeral Home of Wetumpka, directing.

Mr. Berdeaux is survived by his daughter, Melanie Berdeaux Bass and her husband, Derek, of

Wetumpka; one sister, Christine Fink, Louisville, Ky.;

two grandchildren, Tyler and Heather Bass, Wetumpka;

special friends Lee and Ms. Kitty; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Berdeaux was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey Berdeaux and sister, Gene Tatham.

Active pallbearers will be, Mack Fink, Jamie Schnurr, Tyler Bass, Shawn Davis, Bob Berdeaux and Kenny Sanders. Honorary pallbearer will be Lee Moseley.

Dorothy McLain Solomon

Dorothy McLain Solomon, 81, of Georgiana, died Sunday, March 2, 2008.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Harvill officiating. Burial followed in Brushey Creek Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Solomon, Ronnie Solomon and Ted Solomon, all of Georgiana; eight grandchildren; over 20 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
