Linda Fails McCoy, 56, died January 24, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, at Mr. Zion Baptist Church in Greenville with Hudson Funeral Services directing. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Cedric Harris of New Market and Errick Coleman of Toledo, Ohio; a daughter, Nathania Walters of Lapine; mother, Gertrude Fails Payne of Greenville; one sister, three brothers, four grandchildren, three aunts, three uncles, a special friend, Noah Mitchell of Montgomery and a host of other relatives and friends.

Eleanor G._C. C. Montgomery

Eleanor Grace Cook Campbell Montgomery, of Honoraville, devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and beloved friend, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at home surrounded by family and friends. Visitation was Sunday, January 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home in Greenville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at Danielville Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment followed at Cool Spring Primitive Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Steve Branch, Mickey Horne, Stuart Horne, Randy Sexton, Grayson Smith and Zeke Smith.

Mrs. Montgomery was founder and previous owner of the Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio in Greenville, and co-owned the Merle Norman Studio in Troy prior to her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Campbell. Survivors include: her husband, Colin Montgomery; son Robert H. and Susan Campbell and their children, Elizabeth, Heather and Jennifer Robin, of Pike Road; son Roddy and Tina Campbell and their children, Jessica, Amy and Ryan, of Honoraville; daughter Jana and Ken Rogers and their children, Kelsey and Allyson of Troy; stepchildren Kim and Fred Tarvin and their children Grant Taylor, Evan and Marykatlin, of Carrollton, Ga.; Curtis and Robyn Montgomery and his children Kayla, McKenzie and Scout of Montgomery; brothers, Howard and Bea Cook and Wendell and Vada Williamson, all of Honoraville; nieces and nephews Vance Williamson of Birmingham, Kim Rogers of Highland Home and Wendy Davis of Honoraville and many other nieces and nephews.

Gwendolyn D. Simpson

Gwendolyn Denise Simpson, 36, died January 18, 2008. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from Mt. Ida Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Pouncey officiating and Hudson Funeral Home directing.

Burial followed in Hickory Grove Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services directing. Ms. Simpson leaves to cherish her memory a mother, Annie Louise Clemmons; father, Frank Patton; stepfather, Robert Clemmons; four brothers, Tracy (Toni) Simpson of Millbrook, Eric (Sharon) Clemmons, Jonathan Marsh and Cornelius Patton of Greenville; grandfather, John D. Simpson, and great-grandfather, Margie Lewis; six uncles, one devoted, Zebbie D. Simpson, John Simpson Jr. Hayward Patton, Leon (Stella) Patton, all of Greenville, Jerome Patton of Greenville, S.C. and Willie (Geraldine) Patton of Marietta; five aunts, one devoted, Carolyn (Minford) Jordan of Montgomery, Gloria (Eddie) Page of Georgiana, Linda Miller, Dorothy Green, Lenora Patton, all of

Greenville; six nieces and one great-great aunt, Willie Mae McDowell, a close cousin and friend, Greg Griffin, a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, other cousins, relatives and friends.

Toni E. B. Andress

Toni E. Blackwell Andress, 55, a resident of Greenville, died January 28, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Survivors include her husband, Ronald C. Andress of Greenville; two sons, Ronald D. Evers (Tammy) of Excel and John Allen Evers (Brandy) of Brewton; six grandchildren; mother, Shirley Ann Ray of Brewton; father, Ray Blackwell of Brewton; brother, Doug Blackwell; sisters, Angie Waters and Cynthia Ivey, and several nieces and nephews.

Robert W. Dees

Robert W. Dees, Lt. Col. USAF (retired), born in Greenville, died at his Torrance, California home January 26, 2008 after a brief illness. Born in 1918, he was preceded in death by brothers James and Bill.

He is survived by Edith, wife of 60 years, children Rob Dees Jr. of San Pedro, Calif. And Edie Dees of Redondo Beach, Calif.; sister-in-law, Joy Dees of Greenville; nieces, Susan Curet of Montgomery, Mary Jane (Cole) Falkenberry of Greenville, Slyvia Steen of Jacksonville, Fla. and newphew Sam (Darla) Steen of Jacksonville, Fla.

Juanita Beach

Jaunita Beach, will be remembered during her funeral services at noon Saturday, February 2, 2008 from Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. R. F. McCreary officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Service of Greenville directing.

Ms. Beach laves to cherish her memories a devoted caregiver, Annie Mae Smith of Montgomery and Greenville; three nieces, Lois (Henry) Smith, Dorothy Jean Davis, and Evelyn (Sammy) Shoemaker; three great-nieces, Paula Smith, Candace Shoemaker, Miriam Shoemaker; great nephews and nieces, Horace Davis Jr., Malik Smith, Domique and Tamus Stevens, Ebony and Roderick Lewis Jr.; four devoted friends, Ruthaileen Powell, Willie M. Robinson, Pearl Holmes and Mary Stewart. The body will lie in repose from 11 a.m. until funeral time. Final rites by OES and IBP will be given between 11 a.m. and noon.

William Edward Scott Coshatt, 36, a resident of Greenville, died Monday, January 28, 2008.
