Isabel Coleman Hughes, age 87, of Cullman, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Myrtle Cemetery in Fort Deposit, with Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman directing. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 12 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hughes was born on November 14, 1920 to Dr. Henry Neal Coleman and Blanche Sanderson Coleman. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.L. Hughes, and three brothers, Henry Neal Coleman, Dan Coleman and Tommy Coleman.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her son, Mike Hughes of Montgomery; her daughter, Margaret Hamm of Cullman; son-in-law, Mark Hamm of Cullman; grandson, Michael Hughes of Greenville, and three granddaughters, Catherine Hughes of Montgomery, Sarah Hamm of Auburn and Ellen Hamm of Auburn.

She was a lifetime member of the Fort Deposit United Methodist Church and attend First United Methodist Church during her 17 years in Cullman. Steadfast in her Christian faith, she positively influenced all who knew her. Her strength of character of character provided light to our path and will live on. She will be deeply missed.
