Hopkins, Samuel Edward Jr., 90, a resident of Greenville, died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at his residence. The family received friends at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Chapel services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 13 at Dunklin & Daniels with the Rev. Felton Stewart officiating.

Burial followed in Sunrise Memorial Park with Dunklin & Daniels directing.

Survivors include: daughter, Helen McPherson of Greenville; grandsons, Michael Edward McPherson (Frieda) of Eufaula and Shannon McPherson Jr. (Vilma) of Gulf Shores; great-grandchildren, Chris and

McPherson and Kelley Pearson; great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Lee McPherson, Kaitlin Renee McPherson and Charles Cohen Pearson; brother, Calvin Hopkins and sister, Emma Pearl Evans.
