Quates, Esther Ballard, 88, a resident of Georgiana, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 in a Georgiana hospital. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Heartsill officiating.

Burial in Bushfield Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.

She is survived by: four sons and daughters-in-law, James Earl and Blanch Ballard, Gene Hubert and Eunice Ballard, and Charles Winfred and Jeanette Ballard, all of Georgiana, and Robert Leon and Trish Ballard of McKenzie; two sisters, Ollie Lee Davis of Georgiana and Louise Sup of Greenville; brother, Lester Odom Sr. of Georgiana, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
