McDowell, Mrs. Sammie Rich, of Georgiana, died on August 21, 2007 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. She was born Oct. 4, 1940 to the late Sam and Leannie (Peterson) Rich. She joined the Second Baptist Church of Georgiana and was a member until death.
