Harrell#039;s run keeps Sox undefeated

Hunter Harrell scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday as the Red Sox slipped by the A's for the Dixie Boys victory, 5-4.

Offensively for the Sox (4-0), Jonathan Scott was 4-for-4 with a homerun, Harrell was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored, Grey Vinson was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Charlie Schofield was 1-for-3, Andrew Burleson was 1-for-2, Rush Nimmer was 1-for-1 with a double and Todd Burkett was 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored, despite being ejected from the game in the final inning.

For the A's (1-3), Jerome Cook was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Dillon Frazier was 2-for-3 with a double, Skylar McKeown was 1-for-3 and Jared Edge was 1-for-4 with a triple and a run scored.

Trent Norris also scored a run for the A's.

The Red Sox will return to action Monday as they take on the Cubs at 6 p.m. The A's will take on the Braves Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Braves 20, Cubs 2

Every player on the Braves' roster had a hit Monday as the Braves toppled the Cubs, 20-2.

At the plate for the Braves (3-1), Mitch Young was 3-for-3 with two doubles and four runs scored, Dalton Burns was 3-for-4, Reid Burkett was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Daniel Frazier was 2-for-2 with a homerun and a double and two runs scored, Tucker Harrell was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, Levi Ray was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Bud Thagard was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored.

Kendrick Thomas, Eli Blackmon, Hunter Armstrong and Stewart Moody also each had a hit, including a homerun by Moody in the second inning.

For the Cubs (0-4), Tommy Jordan was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored, Cedric Sea right was 1-for-2 and Nicholas Searight scored a run.

The Braves will take on the A's Monday at 7:30 p.m., while the Cubs will take on the Red Sox at 6 p.m.
