FDA JV Eagles fall to Pike

Down 5-2 going into the fifth inning, the Pike Liberal Arts Patriots rallied from behind to score six runs in the final two innings, taking the win over the Fort Dale Academy junior varsity softball team, 9-5.

The JV Eagles (3-7) got on top early with a two-run first inning, but found themselves fighting back late as the Patriots batted around in the sixth inning.

Offensively for the Eagles, Lori Fail was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base, Anne Blake Langford was 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base, Murphy Middleton was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs, Erin Taylor was 1-for-4 with a stolen base and Katie Wilson was 1-for-3.

Abbey Martin also scored a run for the Eagles.

For the Patriots, Henderson was 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored and Farrar was 3-for-5 with a pair of singles and a double.

Erin Taylor picked up the loss for the Eagles while striking out six.
