After two weeks of high school and college prognostications, I have been really close in many games and not even close on a few.

Locally I haven't gone wrong by picking Fort Dale the last two weeks.

Greenville blew my prediction of a Georgiana upset out of the water and also showed me they can play defense and put up some high-scoring numbers.

Here are this week's predictions:

No. 9 Fort Dale vs. No. 3 Faith

Following a huge defensive win in week one at Edgewood, Fort Dale head coach James &#8220Speed” Sampley said he had to keep his team up after such a big win and not have a letdown in week two.

The Eagles did not disappoint Friday, downing the Hooper Colts, 26-14.

This week the Eagles will play host in the second Top 10 match up of the season against the Faith Mighty Rams.

Mika Jones has been on a tear the past two weeks and if the Eagles can keep mistakes to a minimum, the sky is the limit…

Fort Dale 23, Faith 22.

McKenzie @ Kinston

The Tigers held the lead in Friday night's opening game against J.U. Blacksher up until 3:30 to go in the fourth quarter, when Blacksher capitalized on a special teams miscue to seal the victory, 18-14.

Miles Brown's team is headed in the right direction and Friday night was proof.

This week the Tigers stay on the road and travel to Kinston.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 41-0 whipping by Class 2A Geneva County but the Tigers still must learn to win.

Calvin Henderson ran the opening kickoff back last week and he may just do it again…

Kinston 22, McKenzie 20.

Georgiana @ Bayside

Last week's loss to Greenville was heartbreaking for the Panthers, but it doesn't hurt a bit in terms of the quest for Class 2A championship.

Donald Ray Mixon's Panthers begin region play this week at Bayside, who beat Class 1A Millry Friday, 18-14.

If the Panthers can play as a team and Andre Paige, Ronald Scott and Cornelius McMeans step up and make plays, Georgiana will get back on the winning track…

Greenville @ B.T Washington

Bryant Vincent's Greenville Tigers are riding high after capturing the &#8220Battle of Butler County,” but this week is when the real test begins.

Booker T. Washington is coming off a big 27-0 shutout victory over Russell County and if the Tigers aren't ready, the boys from Tuskegee will be.

If the Tiger defense plays within itself and quarterback Casey Weston keeps his composure, the Tigers could be 2-0…

B.T. Washington 18, Greenville 14.
