July 18

n Lane Skinner, 61, was arrested and charged with menacing.

n Chester Brandon Kirksey, 25, was arrested and charged with theft of property.

Melissa Chesser, 28, was arrested and charged with harassment.

July 20

n Alethia Scott, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of reckless endangerment.

July 21

n Lamar James Waller, 27, was arrested and charged with burglary, assault and two counts of criminal mischief.

n Jennifer Shiver, 27, was arrested and charged with theft.

The following reports were filed through the Butler County Sheriff's Office from July 14 to July 21:

July 14

n A report was filed at Butler Estates in Greenville for criminal mischief. A window was damaged when someone apparently tried to break in a residence.

July 15

n A report was filed on Scott Road in Greenville for burglary and theft. A refrigerator and a sofa, totaling $350, were stolen.

July 18

n A report was filed on Cad Road in Greenville for theft and criminal trespassing. A lawnmower and Skill saw were stolen and recovered.

July 19

n A report was filed on Ridge Road in Greenville for burglary and theft. A set of knives, a RCA television, a stereo and speakers, a dresser, a DVD player, groceries and other assorted items, totaling $460 were stolen out of a car and the car's windshield was busted out and the tires cut, totaling $1,100 in damage.

nA report was filed on Halso Mill Road in Greenville for criminal trespassing. Someone left a bra and a pair of panties on a residential front door.

n A report was filed at C&H Food Mart in Georgiana for theft. A man stole a Dale Earnhardt Jr. No. 8 liter worth $5.25.

n A report was filed on Crepe Myrtle Drive in Greenville for recovery of stolen property. Officers breaking up a fight ran a check on a pistol and found it to be stolen.

July 20

n A report was filed on Vickery Road in Greenville for burglary and criminal mischief. A glass plate, a jewelry box, and decorations were damaged when two men forced their way into a residence and a struggle with the occupants ensued. The two men fled the scene after the occupant called police.

July 21

n A report was filed on Halso Mill Road in Greenville for a loose dog. The dog reportedly was menacing neighbors' animals and children.
