While most were recovering from that second and third helping of pecan pie or some other sweet over the holiday week, 18 Greenville area boys spent three days last week honing their skills during a three-day baseball camp that was sponsored by the Greenville YMCA.

Coaches from Greenville and Fort Dale Academy worked with children ranging in age from 5 to 17 to stress the basic fundamentals of baseball.

On Tuesday the campers spent the day worked on outfield and infield defensive drills and throwing. Then on Wednesday the campers worked on hitting and base running, while Thursday was spent on pitching, mechanics and fielding from the mound.
