Greenville-Sport Tillery, 83, a resident of Greenville, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at L.V. Stabler Hospital.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, 2005, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. Burial followed at Sunrise Cemetery.

Tillery is survived by his wife, Vera Hazel Tillery, of Greenville; a daughter, Joyce Smith, of Greenville; a son, Mark (Lisa) Tillery, of Honoraville; three grandchildren, Amanda Bass Smith, Russell Smith, and Jeffrey Tillery; a great-grandson, Anthony Smith Bass; a brother, John E. Tillery, of Memphis, and a sister, Ernestine Jackson, of Rutledge.

The family received friends at Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home Saturday, July 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
