GREENVILLE-Mr. Samuel McKee, Sr., of Greenville, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2005.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at St. Francis Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Lewis, church pastor, and Rev. Joseph Feagin officiating.
A Fraternal Order of Police burial followed in the St. Francis Baptist Church Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Home of Greenville directing.
Mr. McKee was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny L. McKee.
Mr. Samuel McKee was a police officer with the Fort Deposit Police Department.
He was also employed with Volunteers of America, and he was a bus driver with the Butler County School System.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie McKee, of Greenville; four children, Shari (Eddie) Edwards, of Montgomery, Samuel (Shirley) McKee, Jr., of Greenville, Aji Hall, and Kalada Hall, both of Greenville; one sister, Edna (Willie) Owens, of Greenville; three brothers, Johnny McKee, of Greenville, Allen McKee, of Orlando, FL; Willie McKee, of Montgomery; one aunt, Ceola (Robert) Bennett, of Greenville; four grandchildren, Devonte Boggan (Homie), of Georgiana, Janiya Jones, Akiriya Crenshaw, and Daisha McKee, all of Greenville; her mother-in-law, Annie (Fred) Hall, of Georgiana; three sisters-in-law, Deborah (Chris) Pressley, of Georgiana, Myra (Bobby) Banks, of Red Level, and Dorothy Hall, of Georgiana; one brother-in-law, James (Shirley) Hall, Jr., and a host
of other relatives and friends.
Mr. McKee was preceded in death by one brother, Budweiser McKee.
