Hey! Hey! I am so excited to announce that the Native American Indians are going to dance again. We are going to participate in the Hunter’s Appreciation Day in Rutledge Saturday, Sept. 4th starting at 10 a.m.

We got rained out at Dozier’s Family Day event in June so we are hoping for good weather this time. The host drum will be the Family Drum. We are also planning on having a booth with a variety of goodies. Please come by and check it out.

Praise God that churches are finding the need to expand their buildings. Cameron Chapel United Methodist Church had their singing Saturday August Seventh. Becky Welch was the guest singer. They raffled off a quilt made by Willie Pearl Carnes and Sheila Eilland was the lucky receiver. The money from the donations of the singing and quilt are going to the church building fund.

Nothing is to great or to small when working for the Lord.

Well folks, school has started back. I was sorry to hear that Mary Ann Hudson is no longer teaching at Brantley. She is now down at LBW in Andalusia. They are very fortunate to have her. Mrs Anderson, a graduate from Troy State has taken Mrs Hudson’s class. This is Mrs Anderson’s first year of teaching from what I understand so we want to wish her well.

The Football season will start Friday, Aug. 27th with Brantley playing Elba at Brantley. One of my grandbabies goes to Elba Elementry so I have to be careful around the house for this one.

Speaking of children Sunday, Aug. 8th Elizabeth and Victor were given a Baby Shower at Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Troy. They received alot of very nice gifts. They received three or four homemade quilts for the baby besides all the other wonderful presents. They really are a loving church who take care of their members. We only have four weeks to go if the stork delivers on time.

Happy Birthday Ann Hall, mother of Chase Adkinson and daughter of Gabe and Frances Hall of Brantley. Her birthday was Monday August Ninth.

I have a friend in Texas who emails me with people she asks prayer for. This week she has asked for prayer for her sister Frances Schofield who is having medical problems and a young women by the name of Allison who just lost her baby. It was stillborn. Please pray for these people when you say your prayers. God hears and answers every prayer.

Please pray for Mary Sasser of Brantley. She had a stroke and someone has to stay with her regularly.

Jane Wells of Luverne is fighting Cancer. She really needs our prayer. She had her limp nods removed from under her arm a while back and now the limp nods in her neck are swollen and they are wanting to do more surgery. Of coarse she doesn’t want anymore surgery so she is asking for a healing.

My husband’s nephew Sam Bowlan is having medical problems and needs our prayer.

Please pray for my family and I will for yours.

Until next time remember let your life be a light to someone and A.S.A.P.
