CCSO arrests one in meth, guns case

During the execution Thursday evening of a search warrant, authorities in Crenshaw County found a half-ounce of crystal methamphetamine and 19 firearms and an impact wrench at a residence.

At least one of the firearms – a Ruger Blackhawk .357-magnum revolver, along with the air impact wrench – were listed as stolen property.

&uot;As a result of this search warrant, we arrested Michael Kenneth Allen, a 34-year-old white male of 104 Lee St., the occupant of the house,&uot; said Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Robin Daniels. &uot;He has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance-prescription medication, unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, first degree, and receiving stolen property, second degree.&uot;

Daniels said CCSO was assisted during the search and seizure by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the 22nd Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.

Allen was taken to the Crenshaw County Detention Facility, where he was booked on the listed charges. He must appear before a judge or magistrate to determine his bond amount.
