The Highland Home Volunteer Rescue Squad and Honoraville First Responders were dispatched to the scene, along with the Crenshaw County Sheriff's Department.

Investigator Robin Daniels said it appeared that Bolding was working on a tractor, when it suddenly became dislodged from its blockings, pinning him beneath it and crushing him.

"It did not appear that he suffered when it happened," Daniels said. "It is tragic that this has happened. My thoughts go out to his family."

Crenshaw County Coroner Ronny Turner pronounced Bolding dead at the scene at approximately 4:45 p.m.

The victim leaves behind his wife, Faye Moody Bolding, three children, Bonnie Davis of Wetumpka, Samuel Bolding of Atlanta, Ga., and Donald Flack of Luverne. Also he leaves three grandchildren surviving - Lauren Davis, Sara Flack and Jessie Flack; and three sisters, Carolyn Chandler of Tennessee, Jane Adams of Montgomery and Dot Bowen of Luverne.
