Much can be said about Watson and how he helped shaped his family, this business community and his town.

His death is a loss that will be felt by many in different ways.

Watson was a true friend to the public school children of Butler County.

He was the type of businessman that no matter what the need, when a student called him to help, he helped.

He believed in the public school system here and all of his children finished at Greenville High School.

Many Butler Countians could speak about how special Watson was to them.

They would say he had a uniqueness about him that exuded honesty, responsibility, fair play, compassion

and the love of life itself.

Yes, in the coming days and weeks, many people will miss him, but remember the good times and good works of Mr. Hinote Watson.

Those are the testaments to the good, virtuous life he led and the example he set for us.

May he rest in peace.
