"Ladrekas loves her sport, and works hard at practices to improve her basketball skills," said Head Basketball Coach Jennifer Fox. "She is an unselfish player, and is very goal-oriented. This past season she assumed the role of team leader and was always encouraging her teammates to meet their goals."

Assistant Basketball Coach Wanda Pouncey spoke highly as well of Arrington's accomplishments, and those of Amanda Dunn, who will be representing HHS during the All-Stars Softball Tournament.

"I am extremely proud of both Ladrekas and Amanda for the sacrifices and great effort that both of these girls have given to the girls' program at Highland Home School," Pouncey said. "We have been very blessed with great girls and supportive parents. Coach McInnes, Coach Fox and I attribute the success of our program to the dedication of our girls. They take great pride in our facilities, school, community and the success that our teams have enjoyed."

The administration and coaching staff at Highland Home High School encourage the community, and also all of Crenshaw County, to come out and support these girls, as they represent the South in Montgomery.

Dunn's softball tourney will be played on Wednesday, July 14, beginning at 6 p.m. at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.

Arrington's basketball tourney will be played at AUM on Thursday, July 15 at 6 p.m.
