The Troy Americans All-Star team dominated the Dixie Minor District 9 Sub 3 baseball tournament in Greenville this week.

Troy wrapped up its reign over the tournament Thursday night as they edged Greenville 5-3 to claim the tournament championship.

Layton Grant paced Troy’s offense with a double, single and scored a run. Blake Floyd added two singles and scored a run and Josh Davenport singled and scored once. Taytom Barnes also finished with a single.

Cody Tesmer led Greenville with a two-run double and scored a run. Hunter Armstrong also scored for Greenville.

Brantley 6

Dalton Burns two-run homerun in the fifth inning sparked a three-run fifth inning to lead Greenville’s Dixie Minor All-Stars to a 7-6 edging over Brantley Wednesday night.

Skylar McKeown and Jerome Cook added one single each for Greenville.

Jud Owens led Brantley with two singles and two RBI. Jared Wiley chipped in with a two-run single, while Taylor Tew and Clint Kilcrease added one single each.
