Building boom

This week it became apparent that Greenville is experiencing a building boom throughout the city.

JRD Construction began prepping the site on the Greenville Bypass next to Harrison's Funeral. Pictured is heavy equipment operator Ed Morgan, dozing his way around the lot. This is the future home of Hainge's Furniture, Inc., which will be a new 20,000 square foot facility.

Left, travelers along Fort Dale Road saw a crew from Randall Nichols Builders Inc. of Greenville begin work on a new sudivision at the College Street intersection. The new subdivision will contain five new garden homes and is being marketed through Coleman Realty, L.L.C. Work also continues at other locations around town including Cahaba Road. Of course, work continues on the Hwashin America and Hysco automotive supplier plants. Alfred Body of Fort Deposit works on the foundation of the first new garden home.
