Fort Dale Academy fell prey Wednesday night to vandals who spray-painted vulgar language on several sidewalks, the football field press box and the school’s team bus.

Red paint practically covered the bus.

The perpetrators also turned over several tables and some flowerpots located throughout the school property.

&uot;I am really dismayed,&uot; Headmaster David Brantley said. &uot;It’s disappointing that we have to deal with something like this.&uot;

The headmaster said the vandals caused minimal damage to the facility, and the bus was cleaned at a local body shop.

&uot;We have been fortunate through the years to have our property respected for the most part,&uot; Brantley said. &uot;I have been here eight years, and we rarely have had this happen during that time.&uot;

The administrator said they didn’t have any leads on who participated in the vandalism right then, but the police had been notified and were investigating.

&uot;We are hopeful we can find who did it,&uot; he said. &uot;If we do, we will press charges and prosecute as much as the law allows.&uot;
