Impressive comedian to appear locally

The stars will shine on Alabama when celebrity guests like George W. Bush, David Letterman, Tom Brokaw, Jay Leno, Rodney Dangerfield

and a host of others come to Greenville this month &uot;sort of.&uot;

Stand-up comedian Jim Gossett will bring his razor-sharp wit and dead-on celebrity impressions to a July 18 comedy show at the Front Street Pub.

The audience never knows who will show up when Gossett brings his celebrity impressions to comedy clubs and concert halls across the country. He has shared the stage with comedians such as Tim Allen, Sinbad and Rita Rutner.

Jim also has opened for countless musical acts, including Barbara Mandrell, Crystal Gayle and Melissa Manchester.

Also a much sought-after entertainer for corporate events, his client list includes such companies as Coca Cola, Chevron and Toyota.

When not performing, Jim can be heard on a variety of national and regional commercials for Pizza Hut, Kroger, Ford and Home Depot. He’s also a featured voice actor and announcer for Cartoon Network, TNT and Country Music Television.

Gossett was a regular contributor to &uot;America’s Funniest People&uot; on ABC and &uot;Music City Tonight&uot; on the Nashville Network. His comedy also has been featured on &uot;NBC Nightly News,&uot; CNN and Comedy Central.

Advance tickets are on sale now for $7 and will be on sale the night of the show for $9. Show time is 8 p.m.
