Hendrix scores winning run for Braves

It took until their last at bat, but the Braves rallied from 5-3 deficit after two innings to take a 7-6 win over the Devil Rays in Dixie Minor action. The win runs the Braves' record to 5-3 on the year, while the loss drops the Rays to 2-6.

After a close first inning where the Rays got a run off a bases loaded walk to take a 1-0 lead into the second, Andrew Jones led off the inning with a walk followed by Will Till who also drew a base on balls. Matthew Butts reached on an error bringing Glen Span to the plate cracked an RBI single. Span scored later in the inning as well after Braves' pitching issued three more walks to make the score 5-0 Rays going into the bottom of the second.

The Braves shook off the slow start and started their comeback when Stephen Till reached on an error followed by Wesley Hendrix and Darius Howard who both walked and later scored along with Till to draw closer to the Rays at 5-3.

The Braves then added two in the third to knot the score at 5-5 before the Rays took the lead in the top of the fourth when Justin Lowery scored after reaching on an error.

However, the Braves had the last at-bat and made it count when Wesley Hendrix led off with a single to start the final inning heroics.

Then with one out the Rays walked the next three batters, walking in Hendrix with the winning run.
