In a four-to-one vote against Superintendent Dr. Mike Reed’s recommendation to leave the policy as is the Butler County Board of Education sent the current graduation ceremony attendance policy that allows only students who will receive high school diplomas to participate in the graduation ceremony to the board’s policy review committee. It will be considered for amendment that would allow students who have completed their Carnegie units but haven’t passed all parts of the graduation exam and will not receive a diploma or participate in the high school graduation ceremony.
