In a low scoring pitcher's duel the Orioles and Astros needed an extra inning to decide a winner with the Orioles winning 2-1 on a Cordez Peagler single in the seventh, which scored Jordan Miller who had reached base on an error.

The Orioles jumped out to an early lead in the first when Daniel Nolan drew a base on balls and then scored after Thomas Nolan drew a walk and Peagler hit into a fielder's choice.

The Astros threatened in the first after Adam Braden made it to third base, but Orioles' pitching struck out two batters to end the threat. The Astros only run came in the fifth when Trent Jones singled and came in on a Ty Varner single.

White Sox 8, Athletics 4

A six run first inning by the White Sox was too much for the Athletics as the Sox doubled up the A's, 8-4.

Larry Pritchett started off the big inning for the Sox leading off with a single. The next batter was retired on strikes, but Jeffrey Stead reached on an error then was brought home on singles by T.J. Bender and Stewart Moody. Allen Thompson then drew a walk and advanced on singles by Matt Durbin and Nick Welch. Bender, Moody, Thompson Durbin and Welch all scored runs in the inning. The White Sox added runs in the second and fourth innings to secure the win.

The A's made a run at the Sox in the fourth when Taylor Clark and Cooper Lewis were walked and Dustin Till reached on an error. Then Keggiano Lewis singled and Dustin Shell walked. Lewis later scored on a wild pitch, but the big inning wasn't enough to overcome the fast start by the Sox.

The win moves the White Sox to 2-0 in Dixie Youth play while the A's drop to 1-1.
