It's an exciting time to live and work in Greenville and if the city's recently unveiled marketing campaign to promote the city and county to Hyundai suppliers is successful, the excitement is just beginning.

While we understand the residents of Greenville and Butler County are sitting on the edge of their collective seats waiting for information concerning possible suppliers, it's important that any information relating to the location of suppliers be kept close to the vest to insure the integrity of the process to those that working through it.

According to our city and economic leaders there have been several Hyundai suppliers who have visited our community seeking information about our town, our county and our quality of life. But much of the time these visitors like to kept anonymous in order to keep the selection process as easy as possible and so they can work their plan.

What that creates is a lot of uncertainty and the sense that information is not being disseminated to the public as it should. But we hope that as this process comes full circle that people will see the value and necessity of allowing those that we've elected and appointed to do their jobs, which we strongly feel they are quite capable of doing as evidenced by the events at the park on Thursday.
